Stimulus Grants
Utah Clean Cities Coalition and their Clean Cities Transportation Sector Petroleum Reduction Technologies Program will receive funding to help build 16 new compressed natural gas (CNG) public fueling facilities in the state, pay for upgrades to 24 CNG public fueling facilities, three new liquefied natural gas (L/CNG) fueling facilities, construct three new biodiesel public refueling stations, and increase the number of natural gas and hybrid vehicles operating in Utah by 678.
Grant Kickoff
The DOE calculates the initiative will help Utah displace 1.1 million gallons of petroleum each year which is equal to an annual gas gallon equivalents (GGE) displacement of approximately 11,487,000 gallons and increase the number of alternative fueled vehicles on the road.
