It's easy to feel overwhelmed by the issues, but every individual can make a significant impact. Ask yourself the following questions:
- Would you like to reduce our nation's dependence on foreign oil?
- Would you benefit from improved air quality in your community?
- Would your children?
- Would you like to stay informed and knowledgeable about new technology, incentives and grants?
If you answered with a "Yes!" to any one of those questions, get involved-it's the right thing to do! Consider making choices that will reduce your dependence on petroleum fuels. If you are not prepared to purchase an alternative fuel vehicle, we understand. You can assist with public education and special events. Lay the ground work for a cleaner and more secure future. Join the Coalition
Utah Clean Cities Coalition is one of nearly 100 coalitions around the country that are part of the U.S. Department of Energy's strategy to reduce America's dependence on imported oil. The Clean Cities' collective goal, nationwide, is to reduce this country's import needs by one million barrels of oil per day by the year 2020. To achieve the noble aim, we must think globally and work locally. Utah Clean Cities gives you many opportunities to make a difference that you can see. Join Today!
Goals
- Reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

- Familiarize fleet managers/operators with the benefits of including AFVs in their fleets.

Legislation
The Legislative Committee is a good example of the importance of committee work for the organization. Utah Clean Cities’ stakeholders actively champion local, state and federal legislation that supports and encourages the use of alternative fuels, other energy security strategies and advanced transportation technologies.
Education
From grade schools to large-scale corporations, Utah Clean Cities is valuable contributor to increasing public awareness and understanding through education. Utah Clean Cities will meet with any interested group, business, or organization to familiarize management, fleet personnel, and rank and file employees about the benefits of including AFVs and other energy saving strategies in their fleets. We have presentations prepared to answer any questions you or your organization might have about adopting a petroleum reduction policy for any organization.
