Join the Coalition
Utah Clean Cities Coalition is one of nearly 100 coalitions around the country that are part of the U.S. Department of Energy's strategy to reduce America's dependence on imported oil.
The Clean Cities' collective goal, nationwide, is to reduce this country's import needs by one million barrels of oil per day by the year 2020.
To achieve this goal, we must think globally and work locally. Our goals:
- Reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
- Enhance air quality in the community.
- Encourage local economy.
- Familiarize fleet managers/operators with the benefits of including AFVs in their fleets.
- Stay informed and knowledgeable about new technology, incentives and grants.
- Encourage involvement and participation because it's the right thing to do!

Utah Clean Cities Coalition Committees
The Legislative Committee is a great avenue for Utah Clean Cities’ stakeholders to actively champion local, state and federal legislation that supports and encourages the use of alternative fuels, other energy security strategies and advanced transportation technologies.
Public Awareness & Education
From grade schools to large-scale corporations, Utah Clean Cities is a valuable contributor to increasing public awareness and understanding through education. The public awareness committee works with interested individuals, group, business, or organization to familiarize the public with the benefits of including AFVs and other energy saving strategies in their fleets. We are prepared to answer any questions you or your organization might have about adopting a petroleum reduction policy for any organization.
The Public Relations committee furthers Utah Clean Cities branding and messaging. The committee works to increase the publics awareness of the resources the coalitoin has to offer, and to increase the publics understanding of the coalition's work in their communities.
The Technical Committee provides the opportunity for industry representatives to come together and address technical barriers, misconceptions and challenges regarding alternative fuels. Stakeholders work to identify best practices and informational resources for fleets, consumers, regulatory officials and legislators about the use alternative fuels, alternative fueled vehicles, and other energy strategies to reduce our dependency on foreign oil.
